EU – Customs refunds for Korean imports due July 2013

Companies that imported goods, originating in Korea, into the European Union may be eligible to recover import (customs) duties under provisions of the EU-Korea free trade agreement.
The EU-Korea free trade agreement entered into force on 1 July 2011, and established a zero (0%) rate or reduce rate of import duties for a large number of goods and products.

EU companies that imported goods “originating from Korea” after 1 July 2011 and that paid customs duties on these imports have until 1 July 2013 to file a claim for retroactive refund of those customs duties.
